Hacienda Bushwick — what's the vibe for a hetero swinger couple?
We're a straight couple interested in trying Hacienda in Bushwick but it looks very queer/poly-focused from their website. Would we feel out of place? We're open-minded but our experience is mainly traditional swinging.

You won't feel out of place at Hacienda but you should know what you're walking into. It IS queer-inclusive and poly-focused, and the crowd reflects that — you'll see a much wider spectrum of gender expression, sexuality, and relationship structures than at Labyrinth or Checkmate. That said, hetero couples are welcome and there are plenty of them there on any given night. The vibe is more 'intentional community' than 'nightclub.' They host consent workshops, community dinners, and discussion groups alongside their parties. The sex parties happen in the 14 bedrooms spread across the brownstone — it feels more like a giant house party than a club. If you're open-minded and comfortable around diverse sexuality, you'll love it. If you're strictly looking for hetero couple-swap experiences, you might find the pickings slimmer than at Labyrinth. Many couples enjoy both — Hacienda for the community feel and Labyrinth for the classic swinger experience.

We're a straight swinger couple who tried Hacienda and ended up becoming regular members. The community aspect hooked us. Yes, it's more diverse than a traditional swinger club, but that's part of what makes it special. We've had incredible conversations and connections there that we never would have had at a standard club. Go with an open mind and no specific expectations, and you'll have a great time.
